To make a successful magazine layout, you need to combine multiple communications pieces together. They all need to be strong and connect together in a compelling way.

This magazine took a lot of time and effort, but I am extremely proud of how it turned out. You can find the original design in the Cowboy Journal, Volume 23 Number 2.

Having a good layout takes more than a good photo and a decent story. What matters is having two pieces that flow well together.

This layout was created with a news article I wrote, which can be found in the writing samples, and the photo was taken by classmate Chelsea Alexander.
