STILLWATER, Okla.—The Oklahoma State University Swine Club officers plan to host the first meeting of the semester 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in Animal Science 125.
The Swine Club officers plan to cover club ideals, new implements to the club, and have time for new and old members to get to know each other. The officers also plan to go over Homecoming events the club plans to help with, such as the chili cook-off, window painting, and the sign contest.
“This meeting is really important for new and returning members to be there,” said Chelsea Mabry, Swine Club president and an agricultural communications and agricultural education junior. “We’re going to be talking about an overview of the year, and what we’ve kind of planned out as an officer team.”
Braeden Coon, Swine Club vice president and an animal science and agricultural communications junior, said, “This meeting is a good time to come meet everybody, get to know everybody, start making those good connections with your officer team and fellow members, and it’s going to be a good opportunity to eat some food because when we meet we eat.”
Along with everything the Swine Club officers plan to discuss, they also plan to provide a free of charge home-cooked meal for all the attending students. All students are invited to attend meetings and become a member.
